8 Most Expensive Localities of Delhi NCR

Based on the capital values of residential segment (Oct-Dec 2015), we have listed below 10 costliest areas in Delhi to purchase plot/house.

South Delhi has once again become the most expensive part of Delhi NCR . Six out of ten localities in Delhi NCR are located in South Delhi. These localities justify the price tag by maintaining more greenery, less noise pollution and more organized residential locations. Also, these areas have been established as posh and first choice of the riches in Delhi.


1. Greater Kailash ll

GK ll emerges as the most costly residential locality in Delhi once again.

The recorded average capital value here (in 2015) was over Rs 27, 500 per sq ft.

2. Safdarjung

With capital rates revolving around Rs 22, 000, Safdarjung follows next on our list. It is located very close to the famous Hauz Khas Village. Safdarjung has become a base for Delhi’s affluent class. A spacious 3 BHK apartment can cost you anything between Rs 3-4 crore.

 3. Greater Kailash l

Another costly area that commands high capital rates of Rs 21, 200 per sq ft. approx. This locality is a coveted one among upper class families and businessmen.

 4. Saket

Next on the list is Saket with capital rates hovering around Rs 16, 300 per sq ft. Saket boasts the presence of Delhi’s glitziest malls and shopping complexes. It has also become a preferred rental area where a 3BHK apartment can be rented at Rs 40k to 50k per month.

5 & 6.  Vasant Kunj and Golf Course Road

Middle on the list, Golf Course Road in NCR and Vasant Kunj in Delhi has similar capital rates (around Rs 14, 600 per sq ft.). Both locations offer good quality apartments, excellent connectivity to rest of the city and peaceful environment.


7 & 8. MG Road and Sun City

With capital rates averaging Rs 12, 600 and Rs 12, 200 per sq ft. respectively, these two localities in Gurgaon also feature on the list costliest areas in NCR. The presence of lavish lifestyle, proximity to office areas and Metro connectivity are some of the biggest reasons for expensive rates.
